Aileach FC continued with their Player and Coach Development by hosting this KS 1. The Course was held in their newly built Indoor Astroturf facility.The club had 15 coaches on the course all of which will now work with the Underage Player Development.

Other participants attended the course with the view of working in the newly formed FAI/Buncrana Hearts Football for All Club Programme.

As part of the FAI Coach Education Programme in Schools an FAI Transition Year Course took place for the first time in the St Marys (Marist) College Dundalk over the last 3 weeks. A total of 22 students participated in the course and the quality of the Coaching was very good. The students were taught how to plan and set up fun – games for 6-9 year olds and they will now go into three selected primary schools in Dundalk and Coach the children using the knowledge they have gained. The course was a great success and the College hope to do the same again next term.  

MDL Grounds, Navan hosts FAI Strength & Conditioning Workshop

On March 31^st a Small Sided Games and Strength and Conditioning workshop took place in the MDL Grounds, Navan. Many of the coaches on the course will now go on to complete their Youth Cert ths coming year and these workshops have been welcome additions to the FAI Coach Education ladder since they were introduced in 2010.

The UEFA "B" course is designed to assist coaches in the preparation,development and consolidation of the player’s / teams technical, tactical, mental and physical development as well as maximising their performance. Coaches will design and develop “reality based” training sessions after specific analysis of a team unit.
